CARE
One of the most overlooked challenges in global missions is the emotional, spiritual, and physical toll on those we send. Many missionaries serve in extreme isolation—often with no local church, no fellow believers, and limited community—which leads to emotional strain and deep loneliness. Cultural barriers, hostility, and spiritual warfare only intensify the weight they carry. And when they return home, many experience reverse culture shock, struggling to reintegrate into their own communities. These realities, coupled with limited access to mental health support and scarce financial resources, especially in frontier regions, create a pathway to burnout.
At Generation Echo, we believe the call to missions includes a call to care. That’s why we are building a comprehensive missionary care system. From regular check-ins and pastoral support to emergency funds for urgent medical needs and crises, our Missionary Care Network is designed to walk with missionaries through every season. We will provide secure online communities for encouragement, sabbatical and reentry support, and prayer teams that intercede regularly for each missionary. This isn’t just about sending people to the unreached—it’s about sustaining them, strengthening them, and ensuring they can thrive on the field and return home well. We don’t just want them to go. We want them to last.
