In November of 2023, I was sitting at a pastors’ conference when I heard someone say, “There are 3.4 billion people who are going to be born, live their entire lives, and die without ever hearing the name of Jesus.”
That shook me.
At the time, I was serving as a middle school pastor. I remember thinking, Someone should do something about that. I just did not know what that “something” was supposed to be.
Over the next year, God kept bringing missions and the unreached in front of me again and again. Conversations at Hume Lake. Missionaries serving in hard places. Stories of people who had never once heard the gospel clearly.
Then in October of 2024, I heard someone say, “If we mobilize 100,000 missionaries into those areas, everyone will have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.”
And for the first time, my response was not, “Someone should do something.”
It was: “We can do something.”
Generation Echo was born out of that moment.
Ask and Act exists because a lot of people feel stirred toward missions but do not know what to do next. We wanted to create a space where people could process calling honestly, ask real questions, and take practical next steps toward the unreached.
